“I have worked with Christine for the past three years and have been in awe not only of her breadth of knowledge, but of her organizational skills and ability to communicate so well with students.” Deb Dalton, Executive Director, Mentor Me Petaluma
As your college admissions counselor, I will work tirelessly to ensure the best possible outcome for you. I will help you determine which schools are the right fit academically, help you create a compelling and cohesive application, and help you to best showcase your talents. Finding the right school will save money and time, and best of all, promote happiness and success. I am invested in my students’ success and well-being, and I strive to find the right schools for them, for the right reasons.
I have spent my entire career in education and the arts. A graduate of University of Texas at Austin, I hold a BA in Classical Studies and lifetime teaching credentials in English and Latin. I’ve taught high school, middle school, and elementary aged students at both public and private schools, and my children have attended both public and private schools. Thus, as a teacher and parent, I have acquired insight into all types of learning environments and how children learn best. In addition to teaching, I was a fine art photographer whose work has been published and collected. Uniquely qualified to help a wide array of students, I have extensive knowledge about admissions, standardized testing, recruiting, and what colleges really look for in students. My years of experience with competitive youth sports has given me a deep understanding of athletic recruiting and as such, I specialize in placing student athletes in the most appropriate academic/athletic program (my son plays soccer for Dartmouth College). I have placed athletes in Division I, II and III programs, all with great success. Finally, with my background as an artist, I understand the requirements for applying into particular visual and performing arts programs.
The college planning process should be fun. As a teammate and coach, I work to empower my students, helping them identify their goals and dreams, and teach them how to present themselves as the dynamic, unique, insightful people they are.
Member- NACAC, WACAC, and HECA, and proud volunteer college mentor for the Mentor Me Petaluma and 10,000 Degrees Communities.
